Bush Pilot Buckaroo

Tim Hus is gaining altitude faster than a Beaver Bushplane with a wide open throttle!

His highly anticipated first album for Stony Plain Records (SPCD 1336), was released in Canada on June 3rd, 2008. Both Ian Tyson and Corb Lund are fans; Corb is saying:

"Tim’s awesome. He’s one of my favorite Canadian songwriters. Nobody captures the rough-and-ready frontier imagery better than him."

Hus can come at his audience like a runaway rig, while firing off image-laden lyrics with the intensity of a western gunslinger.

The new album features 12 outstanding storytelling songs populated by the rugged characters who define the Canadian frontier. From Northern trucking on the harrowing Dempster Highway to the indomitable spirit of the pioneer aviotors, from a heartbroken honky-tonker with the Vancouver Blues to a roughneck on an oil rig longing for his home in the faraway Maritimes, Hus’ distinctive songwriting masterfully captures the imagery on this most accomplished album to date. The album showcases some of Canada’s finest western musicians: Myran Szott on fiddle (Ian Tyson), Craig Korth on banjo, dobro, guitar (Jerusalem Ridge), and a guest vocal performance by Western roots upholder Gary Fjellgaard, as well as the members of Hus’ accomplished travellin’ band.
